Welcome! I will be blogging (or trying to blog) during a six week trip around Europe. Don't expect me to post everyday (although it is not improbable that this will happen), but do expect loads of pictures. (if I can get a decent camera).
My family and I leave this afternoon and will arrive, if all goes as expected, in Brussels, Belgium at about 0700 their time. That's about 1 o'clock for anyone adjusted to EST. (The area we are in is GMT +2:00 or about six hours ahead of EST) Driving for another couple hours, we should arrive at the beaches of Normandy, where we will adjust to the time zone while walking in the footsteps of the first soldiers to begin the liberation of Europe from the Third Reich.
