Mont Saint-Michel

After a breakfast of essentially bread and hot chocolate (I'm not complaining...), we hopped in our van and drove an hour to Mont Sain
t-Michel.  An abbey started in 1000 A.D., it welcomed people such as William the Conqueror and would now welcome us.  It is an island when the tide is out, but when the tide rushes in (and it does rush) it is the end of a peninsula.

(Taken from an outside rampart)

It constantly amazes men, women, and children that flood through the vast chapels, peacful cloisters, and dizzying ramparts of the ocean pyramid.

  1. You should taste "pain au chocolat" for your breakfast. It´s so delicious...

We are looking forward to seeing you in two weeks.

    Profite de tes vacances,
